About the event

Register now for the Mid-Atlantic Advanced Transportation Summit & Expo (MAATSE) to be held on July 21–23, 2026 at the Atlantic Union Bank Center at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. The inaugural MAATSE will join industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers for three days of cutting-edge insights, networking, and technology showcases focused on clean transportation solutions.

For those interested in attending MAATSE, fleet attendees may register for free and PRCC Stakeholders can attend for a discounted Clean Cities and Communities rate: https://maccce.org/expo-registration/

MAATSE will provide three dynamic days of innovation, collaboration, and insight into the future of transportation. The Summit features a curated lineup of keynote speakers, expert panels, breakout sessions, and hands-on workshops. Each day is designed to spark ideas, foster collaboration, and showcase innovation. Attendees will be able to attend the vehicle expo, connect with industry peers to share ideas, and encourage regional partnerships.

On Wednesday, July 22nd, PRCC's Co-Director, Kristen Sabol, will moderate a panel entitled, "The Future Ready Shop: EVSE Service, EV Drivetrains and LPG Maintenance Playbooks." Guest panelists include Jim Burness, CEO & Founder for National Car Charging; Jay Canuso, President of Oxford Engineering Company; Bob Koch, Department Chair, Skilled Trades at the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC)'s West Hills Center; and Alex Hampshire, Fleet Services Manager for Southern Company. Participants will identify the maintenance, tooling, and workforce capabilities needed to prepare service facilities for a mixed advanced-technology fleet. They will compare the distinct service demands of EV charging equipment, electric drivetrains, and propane autogas systems. The session will provide actionable guidance for building shop procedures that improve safety, readiness, and uptime. Learn more.

MAATSE is jointly hosted by the Clean Cities and Communities coalitions in the Mid-Atlantic Clean Cities and Communities Expansion (MACCE) project, including: Virginia Clean Cities (VCC); West Virginia Clean Cities and Communities; Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition (GWRCCC); Pittsburgh Region Clean Cities (PRCC); Eastern Pennsylvania Alliance for Clean Transportation (EP-ACT); Clean Fuels Ohio (CFO); and New Jersey Clean Cities.
