The Mid-Atlantic Clean Cities and Communities Expansion (MACCE) project announces the launch of the Mid-Atlantic Advanced Transportation Summit & Expo (MAATSE) to be held on July 21–23, 2026 at the Atlantic Union Bank Center at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. The inaugural MAATSE will join industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers for three days of cutting-edge insights, networking, and technology showcases focused on clean transportation solutions.
Located in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, the objective of MAATSE is to bring together industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to explore the technologies and strategies that are shaping mobility across the region. Covering topics spanning electric vehicles, smart infrastructure, freight logistics, and sustainable transit, this event offers a platform to connect, learn, and lead.
"This event will be similar to Pittsburgh Region Clean Cities' Odyssey Day, but on a larger scale and for the full Mid-Atlantic Region," said Kristen Sabol, PRCC Interim Executive Director. "PRCC is excited to be a part of the launch of this new annual event and we invite our members and stakeholders to participate."
MAATSE will provide three dynamic days of innovation, collaboration, and insight into the future of transportation. The Summit features a curated lineup of keynote speakers, expert panels, breakout sessions, and hands-on workshops. Each day is designed to spark ideas, foster collaboration, and showcase innovation. Attendees will be able to attend the vehicle expo, connect with industry peers to share ideas, and encourage regional partnerships.
A call for speakers is now open. The full event agenda will be shared on the conference website.
Event sponsors are also needed. Sponsors directly contribute to advancing transportation energy solutions in the Mid-Atlantic Region. A 25 percent discounted rate is offered for Clean Cities and Communities coalition stakeholders. Visit https://maccce.org/expo-sponsorship/ for more information
on available opportunities.
For those interested in attending MAATSE, registration is open for single day, full conference, sponsor or fleet access. Fleet attendees may register for free: https://maccce.org/expo-registration/
